Directions

To get to McIntosh Hall, drive towards St Andrews on the A91 from Guardbridge, go straight on past the large first roundabout as you approach the town (follow signs for the Town Centre). Go straight ahead at the 2nd roundabout, continuing onto North Street. Drive for about 140m and turn right onto Abbotsford Crescent (the road is slightly narrower and can be easy to miss so be on the lookout). Drive straight and park somewhere without a double yellow line. The entrance to McIntosh is through the brown doors on the corner of the building as the road starts to curve.

Take note: there are a lot of one-way roads in the town so make sure you drive down these in the right direction.

St Andrews is a small town, and a car is not always necessary to get around. If you do decide to drive around St Andrews, please be aware that parking is limited and that it can be difficult to find a space at certain times of the year. Much of the on-street parking in the centre of town is metered, and coins are required to pay.

Our nearest rail link is Leuchars Train Station which is about 8km from St Andrews. Leuchars is on the line towards Aberdeen/Dundee and there are regular trains from Edinburgh (serviced by ScotRail) and London (serviced by LNER).

Train times and ticket information can be found on the National Rail and Trainline websites.

Once at Leuchars, you can get a taxi (~£10) or Stagecoach bus (~£4) to St Andrews.

If you’re travelling from Leuchars Train Station, you can get one of the 99, 99A, 99B, 99C, 99D or N99 Stagecoach buses to St Andrews depending on the time and day that you’re travelling. Tickets should cost around £4 per person.

If you’re travelling from Edinburgh Airport, you can get the 747 to either Halbeath- or Ferrytoll Park & Ride and take the X24 or X59 respectively to St Andrews. These buses are run by Stagecoach. Tickets should cost around £12 per person.

For the most up-to-date timetable and ticket information, please refer to the Stagecoach website.

The above journeys should end at St Andrews Bus Station. From here, you can walk to McIntosh by taking a left from Station Road onto City Road, walking about 20m, turning slightly right onto Abbotsford Crescent (the hall should be straight ahead, with the garden to your right), following the road as it curves around the garden to the end of the hall until you reach the brown main entrance door.
